About Us

UK Boating is Europe’s original, continuously produced TV show for the inland waterway & boating community. The show is presented by Rebecca Bruce, administrator of boating charity The Bruce Trust, based on the Kennet & Avon canal. Rebecca regularly visits marinas around the country, points of interest and keeps both livabords and casual enthusiasts abreast of all the industry’s latest developments. In addition to boating news and reviews, UK Boating also covers special interest stories such as boating abroad, interviews with the major associations & manufacturers, accessory reviews, beginners guides and much, much more!

UK Boating has been in continuous production since 2007 when independent producer (and keen boater) Chris Gosling grew tired of mainstream TV channels consistently ignoring the 13million people who regularly use Britain's waterways in some way. In true boating style, he decided to 'do it himself’ and began filming his own TV programme documenting his boating experiences. Thus, UK Boating was born and Chris went on to produce regular episodes until passing the franchise on to new owners in December 2010.

The two new owners: Information TV & Sneem Marketing, recognised there are still no other regular TV shows about boating broadcasting anywhere. So, a new presenter and updated format was devised, and UK Boating officially relaunched in August 2011 with Rebecca Bruce at the helm. We hope you like it!

UK Boating airs every Wednesdays & Sundays at 8.30pm & Mondays at 8pm on Information TV, with a new episode every other Monday.

Our ever-intrepid Rebecca Bruce is let loose in the London Canal Museum - packed with fascinating exhibits from the world of narrowboating. Then, it's all aboard with John Checkley who takes us on a small tour of North London courtesy of the Angel Community Canal Boat Trust. Then weigh anchors for Roydon Marina Village, in the northern end of the Lee Valley Regional Park, 'London's biggest open space'! Before a look back at some of the fun times and bloopers from the making of the series. Enjoy!
